Comments:
There is absolutely no way Zoltan C is tier 3. Saying it's tier 5 is a bit too generous. Playing this ship on hard mode is like fighting Mike Tyson blindfolded.
• Weapons/drones - my god, if you're lucky enough to hit the other ship with ion (and you know damn well it will miss) you have to hope your beam doesn't just hit an empty room. You also have to hope the enemy doesn't have an anti-drone (which they will, 100% of the time).
• Ion storms - you have Zoltans and a level 2 battery, this is definitely your domain... no, not when the enemy ship somehow has a beam drone hacking away at your shields, a missile launcher aimed straight for your shields, and somehow a Burst Laser II.
• Boarders - every single boarder in the FTL universe comes equipped with Zoltan shield bypass augmentation, and they spawn straight for your clone bay every time.
• Clone bay - this system is located at the worse possible position at the ship. Can't air it out or move your Zoltans over there fast enough.
• Power management - a TAS run couldn't run from the horrors of this ship's lack of power. Good luck finding events that upgrades your reactor for free or for under 30 scrap.
Tips:
1) Get a non-Zoltan pilot right away
2) Don't waste any power on shields at the start of the fight
3) Get a weapon pre-igniter, find a Glaive Beam floating in space, get your hands on a Flak I, and come up with the scrap to upgrade your weapons to level 6
