What happened to the Braves?
They weren't that good in the first place. A team that starts Michael Bourn and Dan Uggla every day needs a lot of talent to make up for it, and Brian McCann ain't enough.
Martin Prado doesn't hit enough to play outfield, and the starting rotation was beset by injuries. They had the good bullpen, which every good team needs, but that's all they had.
The team's assets remain very strong. Jason Heyward, Freddie Freeman, and all the young pitchers are superstars. If further mistakes are not made, the team will win. But the overwhelming likelihood is that mistakes will be made.
