cesar carrillo has very good stuff, but he hasn't pitched in a while. he was retarded in mobile in 2005.

kevin kouzmanoff can hit. in akron an .862 CON and a .164 POW brought him a .389 average. he seems to have really improved his game in a hurry.

will venable showed good skills in a-ball, with patience, contact, and power. he'll have to do it at higher levels.

i probably pronounce his last name wrong, because it's the same last name as mine, and my pronunciation is non-standard. i think this kid's got what it takes. he made the difficult jump from low-a to high-a last year, and showed good patience, decent contact, and decent power. what can i say? i think he's got it.

chad huffman is another one of those guys who can hit. he's got patience, contact, and power. as with many padres, he's old for his level.

cesar ramos is a lefty with good control but no strikeouts. he's a longshot.

this is funny. according to the baseball cube he started playing at 10! no seriously luis cruz has contact and he may get power but he needs to learn to take a pitch.

so that's the padres. it'll be interesting to see if all this hitting talent turns into anything. like a frog, or something.
