23 is not the right age for middle-a. the problem here is control. the strikeouts are ok. it looks like he's not gonna make it.
so this is a steal for the cubs. they got a shortstop who could make it (40% chance), and a pitcher who could make it if he miraculously finds control (10% chance), for a poor-fielding centerfielder who's never going to hit.

he just doesn't make contact. it's because he swings at everything. maybe the orioles have some magic formula for getting corey to take pitches. i don't think so. i think he's just a wasted talent. he was so good in a-ball. and he was 19. but he never got any better. he never took a pitch.
